Paul Austerlitz Group Holds Four Concerts Featuring His New CDs

Bass-clarinetist / ethnomusicologist Dr. Paul Austerlitz will be presenting three concerts featuring music from his CDs, 'Journey' and 'The Fret Cycle.' His band will be augmented with the super-star percussionist of Dominican roots music, José Duluc and renown poet Michael S. Harper. Performances take place February 26 at 7:30PM (Gettysburg College), March 4 at 6PM (Esperanza Academy), and March 5 at 6PM (Bracetti Academy).

Ann Hampton Callaway to Star in PSO Benefit, 4/17

Versatile singer, songwriter and pianist Ann Hampton Callaway, acclaimed for her performances in Manhattan nightclubs and on the Broadway stage, will entertain at the Princeton Symphony Orchestra's 'A Classic Cabaret' on Saturday, April 17. The gala benefit, held annually as a fund-raiser for the BRAVO! education program and PSO's general operations, will take place at Bedens Brook Country Club, 240 Rolling Hill Road in Skillman, N.J.

'Precious', Morgan Freeman, Gabourney Sibide Win at 41st NAACP Image Awards

The 41st annual NAACP Image Awards were held on Friday, February 26 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. Amongst the winners were the film 'Precious' which picked up the award for Best Motion Picture, Morgan Freeman won for his role in 'Invictus' and Gabourney Sibide garnered Best Actress for her leading role in 'Precious'. The ceremony was hosted by NAACP Image Award nominee and Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose and bestselling author and actor Hill Harper. As previously announced, Tyler Perry, received the Chairman's Award, and Wyclef Jean received the Vanguard Award.

Abu Dhabi Festival 2010 to feature Middle East Debut of Jazz Master Wynton Marsalis

The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) today announced that Wynton Marsalis will make his debut in the Arab World as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2010. The nine time Grammy Award winner will join one of the strongest line ups the festival has ever offered when he performs on 5th April at Emirates Palace, adding a new flavor to this three week manifestation of world class performances in traditional and classical music, drama, fine arts, and ballet.
