Jazz Musicians Alex Brown and Zach Brown to Headline Howard County Arts Council's 2014 Gala, 3/29

The Howard County Arts Council has announced the guest performers for the 17th annual Celebration of the Arts in Howard County gala, presented by Howard Bank. Featured this year are: jazz pianist Alex Brown and bassist Zach Brown. You can catch them, along with the ten finalists in the Arts Council's Rising Star Competition, at the Celebration gala on March 29, 2014 at 8 p.m. Emcee for the event is Richard W. Story, Senior Vice President, Community Relations and Government Affairs, and Business Development Liaison for Howard Bank.

Toni Braxton & Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds Play First Performances As 'Special Guest Stars' in AFTER MIDNIGHT Tonight

Multi-Platinum superstars Toni Braxton and Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds are the latest Grammy Award-winning artists to join the roster of 'Special Guest Star' vocalists in the smash hit Broadway musical After Midnight. With an impressive 16 Grammy Awards between them, Braxton and Edmonds will play their first performance tonight, March 18, 2014, marking Edmonds' Broadway debut and Braxton's return. The duo will continue performances at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street) through Sunday, March 30, 2014.

YoungArts Salon with Robert Redford and Sibylle Szaggars Redford Set for Miami Tonight

The National YoungArts Foundation's (YoungArts) second of six YoungArts Salons will feature award winning actor, film director, and producer Robert Redford and environmental artist Sibylle Szaggars Redford tonight, March 12 at 6:00pm at the YoungArts Campus in Miami. The discussion on art and activism will be moderated by John S. and James L. Knight Foundation's Vice President/Arts, Dennis Scholl.

Trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis to Perform Intimate Concert at Holland Center, 4/12

Omaha Performing Arts presents trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis at the 1200 CLUB inside the Holland Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 8:00 p.m. The performance is part of Omaha Performing Arts' 1200 CLUB 13/14 Series. The performance takes place in the intimate Scott Recital Hall. TV Exclusive: Hallelujah! k.d. lang Gives Special AFTER MIDNIGHT Encore for the Actors Fund

Over the weekend, Four-time Grammy Award-winner k.d. lang, who just concluded her engagement as "Special Guest Star" in Broadway's After Midnight, offered the audience a live, rare performance of her legendary rendition of the Leonard Cohen classic, 'Hallelujah' (which she famously performed at the 2010 Olympic Games Closing Ceremonies). She gave the special encore to raise money for The Actors Fund, and was joined on stage by the Tony Award-winning chairman of the organization, Brian Stokes Mitchell.
