St. Ann's Gala to Feature FELA!'s Ngaujah and the FELA! Band, 5/3

St. Ann's Warehouse has announced the attendees for its upcoming Gala to celebrate its 30 year anniversary. The event will include FELA! star Sahr Ngaujah, who plays the title role in the hit Broadway musical, alongside the FELA! band.

Performance Space 122 Presents Reid Farrington's GIN & IT 4/24-5/9

Reid Farrington returns to Performance Space 122 with Gin & 'It.' His principle source is Alfred Hitchcock's film Rope, a film based the Leopold and Loeb murder. As he did with THE PASSION PROJECT, Farrington collaborates with film historians and archivists to bring a classic film to life on stage with his own boundary-pushing melding of video and live drama.

PS 122 Announces Spring 2010 Performance Schedule

Performance Space 122 is proud to announce the Spring 2010 schedule of events featuring six premiere presentations in theatre, dance, video, music, and more. Spring also features the annual Spring Gala honoring John Leguizamo. Additional special events include the annual Ethyl Eichelberger Award celebration & announcement as well as the Thursday Night Socials and Late Night series.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's THE ALIENS Plays Through 5/23

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will conclude its 15th Anniversary season with the world premiere of The Aliens, by Annie Baker (Circle Mirror Transformation, Body Awareness). Directed by Sam Gold (Circle Mirror Transformation, Rag and Bone), performances begin Wednesday, April 14th, 2010. Opening night is Thursday, April 22nd at 7pm. The show is scheduled to run through Sunday, May 23rd, 2010.

PS 122 Presents THE WOOSTER GROUP'S BOOTY CALL AVANT-GARDE-ARAMA! 4/17

Sources confirm that The Wooster Group is excited to guest curate Performance Space 122's longest-running multi-disciplinary mini-festival and that this spring's Avant-Garde-Arama! will feature artists who the Group calls upon, in their own words, 'sometimes late at night, sometimes when we haven't seen them in a while, sometimes lonely, sometimes drunk, and sometimes we when we've just got nothing better to do.'

PS 122 Presents AVANT-GARDE-ARAMA!, 4/16 & 4/17

The Wooster Group curates the latest installment of PS122's longest-running series, Avant-Garde-Arama! This multi-disciplinary mini-festival features an exuberant and ecletic line-up of the wildest experimental performance shorts to be found in New York City, from theatre, dance, and new music, to multi-media and live art installation. AVANT-GARDE-ARAMA! (AGA!) will be a full-on art attack, an all-encompassing performance spectacular taking over the building and spilling into a DJ'd dance party each night.

La MaMa Presents Witness Relocation In FIVE DAYS IN MARCH 5/6-23

Witness Relocation, 'a dance theater anarchist's Utopia' (Performing Arts Journal), returns to La MaMa from May 6 to 23 with the English language premiere of 'Five Days in March,' an award-winning play by Japanese playwright Toshiki Okada.

Playwrights Horizons Adds Four Productions To 2010-2011 Season

Playwrights Horizons, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tim Sanford and Managing Director Leslie Marcus, is proud to announce four additional productions for its 2010/2011 40th Anniversary Season. The three World Premieres and one New York premiere join the previously-announced New York premiere of Edward Albee's ME, MYSELF & I.

Roundabout Announces New Plays by Cho and Rosentock

The Wooster Group Hosts First Benefit Art Auction 3/15

The Wooster Group will present its first benefit artauction on the occasion of its 35 th Anniversary. Dubbed 'The Wooster (Support)Group', the event will feature live and silent auctions of contemporary art.
