St. Ann's Warehouse has announced its 2017 gala, which will feature a special concert, created for the occasion, by Tony Award-winner and GRAMMY Award-nominee Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, How to Transcend a Happy Marriage), Monday, June 5, at the "stunning" (New York Magazine) waterfront theater in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

In response to critical acclaim and popular demand, Soho Rep., in association with John Adrian Selzer, extends the world premiere, Soho Rep. commission of Richard Maxwell's Samara through May 14.

On May 12 & 13, the Grammy Award-winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus will premiere their new work Silent Voices at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House. Lane Czaplinski will assume the position of director of performing arts at the Wexner Center for the Arts, effective June 1. Czaplinski will succeed Charles Helm, the Wex's current performing arts director, who will retire June 30 after 26 extraordinary years with the center.

This American Blonde Actress and Mississippi Mud Productions announce the world premiere of SHARON AND ROMAN, a new part of the Sharon Tate Quadrilogy beginning with the solo piece SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN, and with four total parts, CHARLIE AND SHARON, SHARON AND MIA (in development), and now the newest, ROMAN AND SHARON, about the marriage of actress and model Sharon Tate and director Roman Polanski.

At the Mezzanine Theatre at the A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 W 53rd Street), Soho Rep. is pleased to present the world premiere of Richard Maxwell's Samara, commissioned by Artistic Director Sarah Benson. In a departure, Maxwell, who has directed nearly all 20 of his plays, is handing over the directorial duties to Benson. Maxwell's work was seen previously at Soho Rep. in 2001 with Cavemen and in 1999 with Cowboys and Indians.

OBERON, the American Repertory Theater's (A.R.T.) second stage and club theater venue, presents A Ride on the Irish Cream, written and created by Erin Markey and directed by Jordan Fein. Performances begin today, February 28 and run through Saturday, March 4 at OBERON, 2 Arrow St, Cambridge.
