The Fifth Voice 4 Vision Puppet Festival (www.voice4vision.org) will be presented December 3 to 13, 2009 by Theater for the New City to celebrate the work of a unique group of New York artists who have been creating dynamic puppet theater for many years.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson), Producer Mark Russell and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (Executive Producer) announced the largest and most expansive line-up for UNDER THE RADAR 2010, running January 6-17 at The Public Theater as well as partner venues. This 12-day festival, coinciding with the New York APAP conference, is committed to tracking new theater from across the U.S. and around the world. Tickets are $15 to UNDER THE RADAR shows at The Public and go on-sale on Tuesday, December 1.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced a two-week extension for the World Premiere of CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION, a new play by Annie Baker ('An original voice' - Daily News; 'A playwright to know' - Newsday) that has just opened to across-the-board rave reviews. Directed by Sam Gold ('A magic-fingered director' - Variety; 'An uncommonly observant eye and ear' - New York Times), the production opened Tuesday, October 13. Originally set to run through Sunday, November 1, the limited engagement will now play through Sunday, November 22 at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Welcome to the Woods, a provocative play where 'Revolutionary Road' meets 'Little Red Riding Hood,' will receive its U.S. premiere in a site-specific production at the Witzenhausen Gallery (232) (548 West 28th Street, 2nd Floor NYC).

Presented in association with Ontological-Hysteric Theater, IDIOT SAVANT began previews October 27 and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, December 13.

The production will play 5 performances only; Wednesday, October 21 through Sunday, October 25 at the Theresa Lang Theatre.
