This year, October 2 - 4, PRELUDE, the festival dedicated to artists at the forefront of contemporary New York City theater and performance, celebrates its 10th anniversary. As always, PRELUDE.13 is sure to draw overflow crowds to the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the Graduate Center, CUNY, where an array of artists working in theatrical, interdisciplinary and mediatized performance will offer in-process presentations, open rehearsals, and discussions-all for free.
Wasps will run from July 24th through July 28th at the Connelly Theater. July 24th- 26th performances are at 8pm, July 27th at 5pm and 9pm, and July 28th at 2pm. Producers Darren Bagert, Dan Shaheen, and Ted Snowdon have announced that the hit comedy Buyer & Cellar, starring Michael Urie ('Ugly Betty'), written by Jonathan Tolins, and directed by Stephen Brackett, will transfer to the Barrow Street Theatre for a ten-week engagement beginning tonight, June 18, at 7:30pm and opening Monday, June 24. Tickets go on sale today.
