The nationally regarded Fulton Theatre is excited to continue its record breaking season with Irving Berlin's classic musical comedy, Annie Get Your Gun.   Prepare to be dazzled as Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show returns to the Fulton Theatre after 100 years and the theatre is transformed into a big top, surrounding the audience with all the action. 

Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts continues its 2016-17 Jazz series with the Marcus Roberts Trio - featuring Marcus Roberts, piano; Rodney Jordan, bass; and Jason Marsalis, drums - on Saturday, February 4, 2017, 8:00 p.m. at the Miller Theatre (2960 Broadway at 116th Street). 

Jazz Women of New York is a new all-woman band conceived by vocalist Lee Torchia.  The core group is pianist Jill McManus, saxophonist and flutist Carol Sudhalter, and bassist Melissa Slocum, with occasional subs from the female side of NY jazz.

Jim Jarmusch's new film GIMME DANGER chronicles the story of The Stooges, one of the greatest rock-n-roll bands of all time. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston screens the documentary at its Brown Auditorium Theater on December 2, 9, 10 and 11. BroadwayWorld has photos from the film inside!

The performance will be held on Sunday, December 11 at 3pm. Cabaret on the Hudson is a series that features three outstanding cabaret performers or small groups, each bringing a 25 minute sampling of their New York City cabaret shows to Westchester, NY. Many of the performers are Broadway veterans and have performed in New York City venues such as 54 BELOW, the Oak Room at the Algonquin, Birdland, Feinstein's at Loews Regency, Iridium, the Metropolitan Room and Jazz at Lincoln Center to name a few. Cabaret on the Hudson will be hosted by multi-nominated Cabaret singer and host of the Music at the Mansion series, Corinna Sowers Adler and will feature Matt Baker on piano.

The band is performing a rare holiday set during Thanksgiving Weekend on Sunday, November 27 at the most legendary NYC jazz club - the Blue Note Jazz Club featuring James Williams, New Orleans trumpet player and vocalist. 

Kyle Riabko - star and creator of the hit West End show Close to You: Bacharach Reimagined and the earlier acclaimed Off-Broadway version What's it All About? Bacharach Reimagined - will return to Joe's Pub at The Public for two solo concerts by popular demand on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 9:30 PM.

 The nationally regarded Fulton Theatre opens its 2016/2017 Ellen Arnold Groff Studio Series with a chilling Victorian thriller in the Tell Studio Theatre. The Ira Levin mystery, Veronica's Room, runs through October 30, with two added performances on Sunday, October 23 and Sunday, October 30 at 6:30 pm.

It's mandatory overtime. It's having to work for a living. It's the buzz of an alarm clock dissipating a pleasant dream. It's a playground bully. It's a motorcycle gang at a rock concert. It's a cop spraying capsaicin in an elderly woman's face. It's a loud party next door when you're in bed and have to get up early to go to a job you hate. It's endless war. It's the nagging ever-present worry about climate change and corporate predation and the death of value. It's cancer. It's chemotherapy. It's Syria and Gaza and Israel and wrecked Iraq. It's smartphones, the erosion of the commons, and the obliviousness of one's fellow citizens. It's rudeness and insanity and fascism and a boot in the face. It's a neighbor's power saw ripping a quiet afternoon in half.
