According to Deadline.com, playwright David Mamet is currently working on writing a pilot for a new version of 'Have Gun - Will Travel' for CBS. Mamet will also direct the pilot, which will be based off of the 1957 Western drama of the same name.

Pacino previously played 'Richard Roma' the the 1992 film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Daniel Sullivan is attached to direct the project.
