Los Angeles based Producer Robert McGarity recently started a label designed to record and preserve Broadway 'flops' from the 1950s and 1960s. Toronto based Actor Michael Lazarovitch was cast in the lead role of the label's second effort - the new Studio Broadway Cast Recording of COME SUMMER. Robert and Michael both sat down to talk with BWW about this unique new endeavour.
70's nostalgia is no slouch market. But I couldn't help feeling like Platinum (the newly revised 1978 musical) at the Fringe didn't really capitalize on that.

THE ME NOBODY KNOWS is a musical plea for understanding by a group of underprivileged children that's set in one of the poorer neighborhoods of New York City. It's an indictment of our current social and economic conditions that this show, written in 1970, explores themes and issues that still resonate with audiences today. The current production by the Black Rep is a rousing and entertaining show that features a young and talented cast.

Sterling Knight has since taken over the Starstruck role. Over Here! is hoping for an opening in the beginning of 2010.
The 1974 Broadway musical comedy 'Over Here!' is currently scheduled to open at Toronto's Elgin Theatre late this June for a summer-long run before a potential London-transfer where it may open next year. Possibly starring Donna McKechnie and Frances Ruffelle.
