A.R.T. American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) opens its 2011-12 season with The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, by George Gershwin, DuBose and Dorothy Heyward, and Ira Gershwin. The adaptation by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks and Obie Award-winning composer Diedre L. Murray, directed by A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus, with choreography by Ronald K. Brown, begins previews on August 17 and opens for the reviewing press on August 31 at 7pm. Broadway's WONDERLAND played its final performance this Sunday, May 15 at 3pm at the Marquis Theatre in front of a packed house including many Broadway notables. The show played 31 previews and 33 regular performances. WONDERLAND began previews Monday, March 21 and opened Sunday, April 17. The production will play a National tour. As we first reported earlier, at the curtain call the show's love story mixed with real life, as Darren Ritchie, who played Jack the White Knight proposed to his co-star, Janet Dacal, who played Alice. Darren proposed to Janet on stage right after the curtain call with the entire audience in the house. Janet screamed 'I said yes!' In the audience, there were tears of joy mixed with the sadness for the show closing. Now, the first videos are making their way onto YouTube!

A limited number of $30 tickets (includes a $2 facility fee) will be available at the box office only, on the day of the performance.
