BWW Reviews: WEB from STAGEright is a Stunner

It's not easy coming up with a new twist on a beloved classic especially a beloved children's classic such as E.B. White's "Charlotte's Web", but that's just what writer and director Brendan Mack and the folks at STAGEright have done with their current production of "Web". And while I felt the play could do with some editing and the production lacked a bit of focus at times, ultimately the show comes across as a fascinating reimagining and expansion of a tale of unconditional love.

Westminster Arts Center Hosts ON KENTUCKY AVENUE Reading, 2/18

ON KENTUCKY AVENUE, a stage musical based loosely on fact and mostly fiction about the people and performers who took the stage and filled the tables at the majestic Club Harlem "on Kentucky Avenue" in the north section of Atlantic City from the 1930s until the late 1980s, will be given a full staged reading on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 8 PM at the Westminster Performing Arts Center in Bloomfield, NJ, as part of the Center's Black History Month activities.

Enjoy lightning-quick wit, star-crossed lovers, a badgering grandma and a plot that could be ripped from today's headlines - or a Saturday night comedy show. Taproot Theatre Company Announces 2012 Season

Taproot Theatre Company is excited to announce the lineup for its 36th season, a year packed with comedy, classics and romance. The season features two regional premieres, a comedic road trip with the family, and a musical full of nostalgia and harmony. Taproot Theatre's Company's 2012 Season runs from January through October. The resubscription period is currently underway, with subscriptions opening to the general public on October 3.

Mastering the Class: L.T. Kirk from ACT 1's MASTER CLASS Cast

Next up is L.T.Kirk, who plays Tony Candolino-the part's a natural fit for Kirk, after all he's an accomplished singer-and has been seen on Nashville stages in a variety of roles, including his starring role in Street Theatre Company's Hairspray, playing the role of Edna Turnblad (opposite director Dan McGeachy as Wilbur), and STC's Chess in Concert and Ragtime in Concert, as well as ACT 1's acclaimed staging of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado. His years of experience as an accomplished singer make his perspective on Callas, Master Class and the fictional characters all the more compelling…

Lifeline Theatre's NAKED MOLE RAT GETS DRESSED Opens 3/18

Lifeline Theatre's KidSeries presents a world premiere musical adaptation of Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed, based on the book by New York Times bestselling author Mo Willems (Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!). The production is adapted by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Robert Kauzlaric (two-time Non-Equity Jeff Award-winning adaptor), with music by Paul Gilvary, and directed by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Paul S. Homquist (Non-Equity Jeff Award nominated director).

Additional 2012 Season Ticket Options on Sale at Westport Country Playhouse

To provide more flexibility for patrons to attend theater, Westport Country Playhouse announced that "4-Play Seasonal Subscriptions," "Pick 3 Plans" and "FlexTix" for the 2012 season will go on sale Tuesday, January 3, at noon, joining the more traditional "5-Play Subscriptions" already available.
