SCERA Shell to Present Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA, 6/6-21

It's always a season for magic when the weather warms and the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre in Orem presents entertainment under the stars. This summer is no exception as the Shell's 30th Anniversary Season continues with the magical musical, Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Cinderella."

ENTERSHAMEMENT Runs at Pasadena Playhouse, Now thru 5/30

The Pasadena Playhouse has updated the performance schedule for two unusual one-person shows - Amy G in Entershamement and Joe Orrach in In My Corner - to reopen the newly re-designed Carrie Hamilton Theatre. Entershamement has a limited run of five performances, while In My Corner runs for one night only. With these shows, that perform today, May 22 to May 31, The Playhouse is relighting the refurbished Carrie Hamilton Theatre, which has been changed from a proscenium theatre to a black box, and can be configured to accommodate many different kinds of productions.

Pasadena Symphony Closes Season with TCHAIKOVSKY PIANO CONCERTO Tonihgt

The Pasadena Symphony celebrates the best of the best Russian music with international piano star Shai Wosner guest conductor Jahja Ling. The 86thseason concert finale explodes with Tchaikovsky's dazzling Piano Concerto No. 1 and Shostakovich's Fifth Symphony tonight, May 10, 2014 at Ambassador Auditorium with matinee and evening performances at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Bobby McFerrin & More Set for Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts' 2014-15 Music Season

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College has announced its 2014-15 music series. This year's lineup includes 60th Anniversary Season opener Bobby McFerrin, a holiday concert by Sweet Honey in the Rock, South Africa's Lady Smith Black Mambazo, a tribute to Woody Guthrie by the Klezmatics, a cappella superstars Take 6, and Eddie Palmieri performing with his Latin Jazz Septet. These musical events reflect the artistic excellence and cultural diversity to which Brooklyn Center is dedicated. The season also features children's concerts by Black Violin and Nick Jr. favorites Hot Peas 'N Butter.

THE JOST PROJECT Returns to the Philadelphia Museum of Art Today

The J?st Project looks forward to returning to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the location where they launched their recording, 'Can't Find My Way Home' (Dot Time Records). As part of the Art After 5 series, the Philly-based band will perform today, May 9 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The band is made up of internationally renowned vibraphonist Tony Miceli, vocalist/harmonicist Paul Jost, bassist Kevin MacConnell and drummer Charlie Patierno. This event is free with museum admission, $20; seniors $18; youth, 13 to 18, and students with valid ID $14; children 12 and under free. Nevada Ballet Theatre to Honor Debbie Allen as Woman of the Year for the 31st Annual Black & White Ballet

Nevada Ballet Theatre (NBT) announced today that it will honor dancer, choreographer, actress, producer, director and author Debbie Allen as Woman of the Year for the 31st Annual Black & White Ball. The recipient of numerous awards, including a Tony Award, Golden Globe and three Emmy Awards among others, Allen's many contributions to the performing arts and entertainment industry will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at ARIA Resort & Casino, CityCenter.
