Tony Winner Martin Charnin Coming to WPPAC, Today

The White Plains Performing Arts Center is proud to bring Tony Award winning lyricist Martin Charnin to White Plains as part of the Creating Broadway series. Join us today, April 10 at 7:00 pm for this lecture style class where Mr. Charnin will share stories from his life in the theatre and give advice for rounding out songs in an actor's repertoire for audition or performance. Six to eight people will be selected from ticket buyers, by audition, to join Mr. Charnin on stage.

CARRIE to Play White Plains Performing Arts Center

Based on the novel by Stephen King, Carrie the Musical is an electrifying pop-rock musical about a bullied teenager with telekinetic powers who takes revenge on prom night with music by Academy Award-winning composer Michael Gore ('Fame', 'Terms of Endearment'); lyrics by Academy Award-winning lyricist Dean Pitchford ('Fame', 'Footloose') and a book by 'Carrie' film screenwriter Lawrence D. Cohen.

THE AMAZING MAX Will Now Play White Plains Performing Arts Center on Today

The Amazing Max, bursting with striking visual magic, comedy and loads of audience participation, will be on-stage at the White Plains Performing Arts Center today, February 28 at 2:00 pm. Magician Max Darwin makes objects appear out of thin air, defies the laws of physics, and performs miracles inches from spectator's faces. 'An awesome and hilarious live magic show' PBS Kids. 'Max Darwin is indeed amazing' Time Out Kids. This show is the wackiest, most interactive, highest energy magic show for families today. McDonald/Selznick Associates presents the 2015 MSA Emerging Choreographers' Showcase today, February 27, 2015 in New York City featuring the work of choreographers Al Blackstone, Adam Cates, Sean McKnight, and Rachelle Rak. Two performances will take place at the Ailey Citigroup Theater for an invited audience of producers, industry professionals, and guests.
