Dennehy, Gugino Star In DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS At Goodman

Desire Under the Elms By Eugene O'Neill will be directed by Robert Falls and run January 17-February 22. Featuring Brian Dennehy, Carla Gugino, Boris McGiver, Daniel Stewart Sherman and Pablo Schreiber Tony Award-winning Artistic Director Robert Falls' Desire Under the Elms starring the acclaimed, Tony Award-winner Brian Dennehy will be the centerpiece of an exploration of Eugene O'Neill in the 21st century. Master American playwright Eugene O'Neill conceived Desire Under the Elms as he slept one night, imbuing it with the emotional pitch of a fever dream. Ephraim Cabot returns to his remote New England farmhouse with his third wife-the alluring, headstrong young Abbie-launching his three grown sons into a bitter fight for their inheritance. When Ephraim's youngest son sets his sights on Abbie, the resulting tempest brings tragic consequences. Production contains nudity.

The Marvelous Wonderettes invites families to join in on the fun and celebrate the holidays at the Westside Theatre, by offering complimentary tickets to children 16 years of age or younger. The promotion began Wednesday, December 10 and goes through Monday, December 22, adults who purchase a regularly-priced ticket (through the special code MAKIDS01) to see The Marvelous Wonderettes (redeemable for dates December 22 to January 4) are eligible to receive a free ticket for an accompanying child.

The Marvelous Wonderettes, the show that has audiences leaping to their feet nightly at the Westside Theatre, proudly announces a special Boys Night performance on Wednesday, November 19 at 8:00 PM. Immediately following the show, patrons who have purchased specially priced Boys Night tickets can continue the celebration at Vlada beginning at 10:15 PM (331 West 51 Street) with a 90?minute open bar (beer, wine, well drinks, and soda). Written and directed by Roger Bean, The Marvelous Wonderettes began previews on August 29, 2008 and the show celebrated its Official Opening on September 14.
