Closing the Gap - A Benefit Concert - A special One Night Only Concert featuring the songs of Dramatist Guild Fellows Dana Levinson and Stacey Weingarten.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performance Arts invites entertainment fans to kick off 2015 with international artists and attractions from every discipline from rock to pop to classical music, from Broadway to Hollywood.

San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus (SFGMC) Artistic Director, Dr. Timothy Seelig, announced the holiday performances for the 37th season, featuring Dancers, Prancers & Vixens! with special guests Well-Strung, the singing string quartet, for three performances, this weekend, December 12 - 13 at Nourse Theater (275 Hayes St, San Francisco).

Executive director Chris Verdugo and artistic director/conductor Joe Nadeau of the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) are busy these days getting ready for the big holiday concert to take place this weekend Saturday December 13 at 3 pm and 8 pm and Sunday December 14 at 3 pm at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.

The day is finally here! After one month of voting on preliminary nominees in 17 categories, the results of more than 5,000 ballots were considered along with the selections of BroadwayWorld's cabaret section editors to determine the final nominees for the 2014 BroadwayWorld.com New York Cabaret Awards. Joining cabaret icon Marilyn Maye with four nominations is budding star Carole J. Bufford, who made the final ballot for two different shows during 2014 and as 'Best Female Vocalist' and 'Performer of the Year.' Among Maye's nominations were 'Performer of the Year,' two shows in the 'Best Celebrity Show' category, and a 'Best Director' nomination for her work with jazz singer Gabrielle Stravelli (who received two nominations). In addition to her usual nod for 'Best Jazz Vocalist,' jazz star Jane Monheit received two other nominations as 'Performer of the Year,' and as 'Best Host' for her new variety show at Birdland, Jane Monheit's Jazz Party (Monheit also co-starred with Clint Holmes in another nominated show, Frank Wildhorn and Friends in the 'Best Revue' category.) Eric Michael Gillett also earned three nominations for 'Best Show, Male,' 'Best Male Vocalist,' and 'Best Director.'

After seeing Well-Strung's debut music video, Kristin Chenoweth, Tony & Emmy winning star of Wicked and Glee, invited the group to appear in her two sold-out Provincetown concerts this past August at Town Hall. The group just posted their stirring performance of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah on their YouTube channel with an introduction by Chenoweth. Check it out below!

The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts celebrated its highly anticipated grand premiere with the BROADWAY & BEYOND opening night concert-the first performance to be held in its new Walt Disney Theater and BroadwayWorld was there. On Saturday, November 15th, the arts community in Central Florida forever changed with the official opening of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. On that night, Broadway icon Richard Jay-Alexander brought together an incredible group of talent to unveil the Walt Disney Theatre with BROADWAY & BEYOND, and BroadwayWorld was there!

When Well-Strung, 'The Singing String Quartet,' agreed to be a part of BROADWAY & BEYOND, the premiere event in the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts' Walt Disney Theatre, they knew they needed to come up with something special. So, over the past week, the group put together a very special mash-up from Disney's most recent megahit.
