SOMETHING ROTTEN!, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, has been nominated for a whopping ten Tony Awards - in honor of Broadway's biggest night, the cast of the show has recorded an original song. We are yet another day closer to the biggest night on every theatre-lover's calendar- the 69th Annual Tony Awards, which will be co-hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming on Sunday, June 7 (8PM on CBS). Earlier this month, the 2015 Tony nominees gathered to meet the press and BroadwayWorld was on hand for the big day. Below, we bring you an exclusive interview with Wayne Kirkpatrick, Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell, Best Score and Book of a Musical nominees for Something Rotten!

SOMETHING ROTTEN!, directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, with music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, has been nominated for a whopping ten Tony Awards, and they will soon take the show on the road. According to the New York Times, the new musical will launch a US tour in January 2017.

New York is about 500 miles from Cleveland. Several times a year I wander forth to see the bright lights of Broadway and venture into some theatres. This spring, during a period of a rash of show openings, I had the chance to see some excellent offerings.

On last night's TONIGHT SHOW, Brian d'arcy James, Chrisitan Borle and the cast of the Tony nominated Broadway musical SOMETHING ROTTEN performed a medley of 'God I Hate Shakespeare' and 'Hard to Be the Bard'.

Something Rotten! gets ready to rock THE TONIGHT SHOW!

New Dramatists, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premier playwright development laboratory, just honored Tony Award winning actor and Chairman of the Board of The Actors Fund, Brian Stokes Mitchell with their 2015 Distinguished Achievement Award at its 66th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute. The event featured musical performances from some of Mitchell's most memorable shows by Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams (King Hedley II, Hallelujah Baby), Nicolette Robinson (Brooklynite, TV's 'The Affair,' 'Hart of Dixie') and Leslie Odom, Jr. (Hamilton, NBC's 'Smash'), and Tony nominated Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q, Carnival at City Center Encores!). NBC has announced that the cast of the hit Broadway musical SOMETHING ROTTEN, recent recipient of 10 Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, will perform on TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON, tonight, May 15th.
