The producers of Chicago have announced that actress and "Dancing with the Stars" winner Rumer Willis will now make her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart on Monday, September 14. The change in her start date was made to allow her the necessary time to fully recover from multiple stress fractures to her foot that requires further rehabilitation. She will now play a 7-week limited engagement at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St., NYC) through Sunday, November 1, 2015.

Wareham are thrilled to present the first show in their 2015-2016 season, the smash-hit musical, FOOTLOOSE, stage adaption by Dean Pitchford & Walter Bobbie, based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford, music by Tom Snow, lyrics by Dean Pitchford with additional music by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins & Jim Steinman. The musical direction is by Jeff Biering and the production will be choreographed and directed by Paula Hammons Sloan.

Producer Joey Parnes announced today that the new musical Bright Star, from Grammy and Emmy winner Steve Martin and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Edie Brickell, will play a limited engagement at the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater in Washington, D.C. ahead of an anticipated spring 2016 opening on Broadway. Directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie, Bright Star will begin performances on December 2, 2015, with an official opening night of December 17, and play through January 10, 2016.

13th Street Rep Celebrates Ray DeMattis' 50th Anniversary in the Biz

The 13th Street Repertory Theater celebrated veteran stage/film/TV actor Ray DeMattis' 50th anniversary in the business -- honoring his lifetime achievements -- by proclaiming May 10th 'Ray DeMattis Day.'  DeMattis was presented with a framed certificate of honor by one of his proteges -- Michael J.C. Anderson, an actor with the 13th Street Rep.  And DeMattis, in turn, presented the first annual  'Ray DeMattis Award,' honoring young artists-to-watch, to actors Cody Jordan and John Brady, co-stars of Chip Deffaa's musical-comedy success  'Mad About the Boy.'  They each received a plaque, a copy of a cast album featuring DeMattis ('Flora the Red Menace'), and a $100.00 honorarium.
