Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 204th season with an all-new production of Broadway's five-time Tony Award-winning family musical, Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN. Directed and choreographed by Marc Robin, this production will feature Philadelphia's very own Jeffrey Coon and Broadway's Jennifer Hope Wills. The cast also includes a live horse that will pull the Wells Fargo Wagon in the first act. THE MUSIC MAN opens on November 14th and runs through January 6th on the WST Mainstage. New City Stage Company has announced the second show of its 2012-13 season, the Philadelphia premiere of Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge, written by Christopher Durang and directed by Michael K. Brophy.
Anne Frank's remarkable diary has become an essential tool for understanding one of the darkest periods of our history - and one of the most beautiful, haunting stories in our shared experience. The play is dramatized from the book by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. Making her Rep directorial debut, KJ Sanchez will direct the play. The cast features Associate Artists Jonathan Gillard Daly, Laura Gordon, Lee E. Ernst, James Pickering and Deborah Staples and guest actors J. Alexander Coe, Kelley Faulkner, Larry Neumann, Jr., and rising Chicago actress Lauren Hirte in the title role. Rep Artistic Intern Ensemble Members Jonathan Altman, Emily Berman, Jess Prichard and J.R. Yancher are also in this production. The Diary of Anne Frank runs in The Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse from October 23 - December 2 and opens Today, October 26.

Only 5 weeks after it was announced, the Dutch version of LOVE STORY has been cancelled. The auditions, which were in full swing, have been halted. LOVE STORY was slated to play the Beatrix Theatre in Utrecht. Instead of LOVE STORY, the current occupant of the theatre, Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID has been extended.
