According to reports, Jennifer Morrison, star of TV's 'House', Matthew Modine and Elizabeth Franz will join Abigail Breslin and Alison Pill in the Broadway revival of 'The Miracle Worker'.

The New Group's world premiere of Kenneth Lonergan's play The Starry Messenger, at Theatre Row has extended one week. The production to now close on Saturday, December 19. The New Group is presenting the world premiere of The Starry Messenger as the first production in its 2009-2010 season. This production is playing a limited Off-Broadway engagement, that began previews on October 26 with an official opening night on November 23. The production was initially slated to close on December 12.

The New Group proudly announces a one-week extension for its current production, Kenneth Lonergan's The Starry Messenger. To mark AMERICAN THEATRE magazine's 25th Anniversary in April 2009, Theatre Communications Groups (TCG) honored the publication by publishing The American Theatre Reader, a 640-page compilation of significant and insightful articles, essays and interviews from the magazine's first quarter century.

In a call out to artists, activists and the general public, the organization will be hosting the initiative, 'No Guantanamos at Home or Abroad,' a series of vigils beginning Monday, October 19 from 6 - 7pm and every Monday thereafter at the Metropolitan Correctional Center at 150 Park Row (at Pearl Street) in lower Manhattan, a federal penitentiary that has been mirroring many of the abusive practices detainees face at Guantanamo upon actual American citizens according to THAW.
