A.R.T. Presents BEST OF BOTH WORLDS 11/20-1/3/2010

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) is pleased to present Best of Both Worlds, a holiday musical for the whole family. Bursting with the sounds of R&B and gospel, Best of Both Worlds features book and lyrics by Randy Weiner, music by multiple Obie-winner Diedre Murray, and is directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus.

Minnesota Jewish Theatre Premieres MOONLIGHT AND MAGNOLIAS, 10/24

Moonlight and Magnolias, the new comedy hit that tells the behind-the-scenes story of the making of one of the most celebrated movies of all time, will open Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company's 15th anniversary season on the 70th anniversary of the American movie classic Gone with the Wind. The area premiere of Moonlight and Magnolias by Ron Hutchinson opens October 24, 2009.

1001 Runs At The Theatre School At DePaul University 10/2-11

The Theatre School at DePaul University's Showcase Series of Contemporary Plays and Classics presents 1001 by Jason Grote, directed by Carlos Murillo. This timely and compelling tale opens Friday, October 2 and runs through Sunday, October 11, 2009, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on September 30 and October 1 at 7:30 PM.

Radiohole Receives PS122 Spalding Gray Award

Performance Space 122 announced that Radiohole is the recipient of the third Spalding Gray Award. The award is a special commission created in Spalding Gray's honor by Performance Space 122, together with Kathleen Russo, UCLA Live, and The Walker Arts Center. The recipient of this year's award receives a full production in the 2009-10 seasons at P.S. 122 and The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, as well as a stipend for its creation. The Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh was also announced as a partner in the award.
