(or, Gilbert and Sullivan Plunder'd), July 30 - August 5, directed by Gordon Greenberg and choreographed by Denis Jones. Conceived by Gordon Greenburg, Nell Benjamin and John McDaniel, Pirates! (or, Gilbert and Sullivan Plunder'd) features lyrics by W.S. Gilbert, and music by Arthur Sullivan. Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) presents Gilbert & Sullivan's comic operetta THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, directed by Broadway veteran Terrence Mann, starring Sean Martin Hingston as the Pirate King, Steven Hayes as the Major-General and Connecticut native Diane Phelan as Mabel.

The Delaware River Theatre Collective is set to present the first of its two summer productions in July when the group brings the Gilbert and Sullivan comic musical, The Pirates of Penzance, to the Stephen J. Buck Memorial Theater stage. The perfect family musical, The Pirates of Penzance will run for three performances on Friday, July 6 at 8 pm, Saturday, July 7 at 8 pm and Sunday, July 8 at 2 pm.

The Delaware River Theatre Collective is set to present the first of its two summer productions in July when the group brings the Gilbert and Sullivan comic musical, The Pirates of Penzance, to the Stephen J. Buck Memorial Theater stage. The perfect family musical, The Pirates of Penzance will run for three performances tonight, July 6 at 8 pm, Saturday, July 7 at 8 pm and Sunday, July 8 at 2 pm.

The Theater Company of Hoboken (TTC) will reprise its production of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE in not one, but two unique outdoor venues this month. This delightful, comic operetta, with music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by W. S. Gilbert, is directed by veteran TTC director/adaptor/actor Clara Barton Green. Great for all ages, performances will be July 13-15 & 20-22, 2012 at 7pm at Frank Sinatra Park in Hoboken and July 28 and 29, 2012 at 4pm at The Historic Jersey City and Harsimus Cemetery.

Commemorating the tenth anniversary of the death of playwright John McGrath, and unseen in a professional production in London since 1966, John McGrath's Events While Guarding The Bofors Gun opens at the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre for a limited four-week season from Tuesday, 22 May 2012 directed by Robert Hastie. Merrie England plays at the Finborough Theatre for a limited run of nine Sunday and Monday evening performances and Tuesday matinees, opening tonight, 27 May 2012.

Although they created many popular comic operas, the backstage relationship of W.S.Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan was anything but light-hearted merriment. The story of their tumultuous partnership is the focus of Ian Taylor's play Tarantara! Tarantara!, currently being presented by Stage Centre Productions at Fairview Library Theatre until May 19.

92nd Street Y today announced the 2013 line-up for Lyrics & Lyricists™, 92Y's celebrated American Songbook series. Deborah Grace Winer returns for her fifth season as artistic director of the series, as well as one of the shows. Guest artistic directors leading the individual concerts are Rob Fisher (with host Sheldon Harnick), David Loud, Billy Stritch and Mark Lamos in his L&L debut.
