Greg Mohr and Scott Weiner -- co-owners of The Fifty/50 Restaurant Group -- will open their second location of Roots Handmade Pizza to the public at 11am on Saturday, December 19 at 2200 W Lawrence Ave in Lincoln Square. The Roots location in Lincoln Square will be open Sundays thru Fridays from 11am until 2am and on Saturdays from 11am until 3am. Delivery and carryout will begin at a later date. Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles presents Women in Music, a festive celebration featuring female composers, conductors and performers, at Preston Bradley Center (941 W. Lawrence, Chicago) on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 3 p.m. This concert, hosted by Orange Is the New Black star Lea DeLaria, will feature a special guest appearance by Chicago's own Artemis Singers, the first lesbian feminist chorus in the U.S. The Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band, under the direction of Kyle Rhoades, will perform the masterworks planned for this special event.

Tickets go on sale August 1 at 12 p.m. Entrance to the Fringe Festival, called Chicago's 'Best Performing Arts Festival,' by the Chicago Reader, is a one-time button purchase of $5, after that all individual performances are $10. Passes with a discounted ticket price are available when attending multiple performances: five-show pass is $45, ten-show pass is $80 and an unlimited pass is $175. Each venue will have a box office for day-of purchase and the box office for the entire Festival is located at Fringe Central, 4780 N. Milwaukee Ave, Fischman's Liquors. Tickets may be purchased at chicagofringe.org.
