TimeLine Theatre Company Finalizes 2010-11 Season

TimeLine Theatre Company, dedicated to presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, has finalized its four-play 2010-11 season. The Chicago premiere of In Darfur by Winter Miller, directed by Nick Bowling, joins three previously released titles: The Chicago premiere of Frost/Nixon by Peter Morgan, the world premiere of Mastering the Art by William Brown and Doug Frew, and The Front Page by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur.

New Theatre's (THE NEW) 25th Anniversary continues with acclaimed stage and film actress Angelica Torn starring as Marie Curie in the World Premiere of The Radiant by Tony-nominated playwright Shirley Lauro, running March 25 - April 17, 2011. The Radiant tells the story of the tempestuous, dramatic life of Marie Curie, one of the world's first recognized woman scientists, whose discovery and isolation of radium earned her two Nobel Prizes and revolutionized science forever, as she ushered in 'The Atomic Age' and the first cure for cancer. 2011 marks the 100th Anniversary of Marie Curie's second Nobel Prize win and befittingly, Poland and France have named 2011 'Marie Curie Year' and The United Nations designated it 'The International Year of Chemistry.'

Northern Stage (formerly Newcastle Playhouse) and Sheffield Theatres today announce their first collaboration, a new production of Edward Albee's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?". The production will be directed by Northern Stage's Artistic Director Erica Whyman. "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" will play at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre (Wednesday 16 March - Thursday 7 April) and then continue to Northern Stage (Tuesday 12 April - Saturday 30 April).

This class will be taught by Charlene Tilton and actor Bob Rusch. Classes will be
on-camera audition technique for half hour comedy, hour long drama and film roles by putting the actor in a professional audition setting. Helps the actor make strong choices, improve their cold reading skills, and how to have better 'In the room' presence, which enables them to audition with more confidence.

Phoenix Rising Productions has announced the West Coast premiere of Tennessee & Anna, a play by Franco D'Alessandro, directed by Anthony Caldarella. A guest production at the Odyssey Theatre in West Los Angeles featuring multi-award-winners Morlan Higgins and Karen Kondazian, Tennessee & Anna begins previews on April 5, and opening is set for Saturday, April 9 at 8pm.
