CANTON, OHIO (August 27, 2015) – While public parks are always a great place to enjoy outdoor activities like fishing, hiking and bird watching, this summer they have also become a perfect place to enjoy live music! Summer Serenades in the Park, a partnership between the Canton Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Stark County Park District (SCPD) concludes with a FREE full orchestra concert on September 6 at 6:30pm at Petros Lake Park (3519 Perry Drive SW, Canton).

A bullet train of laughs is reverberating across the Opening Night walls of Desert Stages Theatre, thanks to the deft direction of Virginia Olivieri and Gary Zaro and the quirky comic thespians who breathe fire into the script of Neil Simon's elegant farce, RUMORS.
What happens when the spontaneous sounds of nature and people enjoying a park are combined with the orchestrated sounds of musicians? Serenades in the Park happens! A free, family-friendly series of brass, woodwind, and string ensembles performing all over Stark County. Everyone is invited to bring your favorite picnic food, games, and blanket or chair and enjoy the setting and music.

Harvey is the second show of DST's 20th Anniversary Season in the Actor's Cafe. This Pulitzer Prize winning comedy by Mary Chase tells the story of Elwood P. Dowd and his imaginary friend Harvey. He and Elwood do everything together including driving his sister Veta and his niece Myrtle Mae completely crazy! When Veta decides she has had enough and tries to commit him, she herself is mistaken for the nutty one and accidentally committed!
Mystery and murder unravel in the intimate Actor's Cafe as Desert Stages Theatre presents Dial M for Murder. Under the direction of Virginia Olivieri, this suspenseful production takes stage Fri., Jan. 24 - Sun., March 9, 2014.
