Willows Theatre Produces Regional Premiere Of AVENUE Q 6/21-8/1

The Willows Theatre Company is proud to present the wild and wildly popular Tony-winning musical, Avenue Q. The 'adult Sesame Street' romp features both puppets and live actors and is known for its high-energy, naughty fun. Avenue Q will be staged June 21 through August 1 at the Campbell Theatre, 626 Ward Street in Martinez as part of The Willows' 'NextFest' series and a season 'extra.'

Billy Crudup to Star in Rapp's METAL CHILDREN at Vineyard Theatre

The Tony Award-winning actor BILLY CRUDUP will star in the world-premiere of Adam Rapp's play THE METAL CHILDREN, which begins previews May 4 prior to opening May 19, 2010 at the Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.), it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director of the Vineyard. Directed by Adam Rapp, additional casting for the play is to be announced.

Hamingson) will continue its popular Shakespeare Salon series on Monday, May 24 at 6 p.m. Shakespeare Initiative Director Barry Edelstein will moderate a discussion on 'Making Shakespeare in the Park: Onstage and Backstage,' featuring a cross-section of cast, crew and creative team members from this summer's repertory productions of The Winter's Tale and The Merchant of Venice at Shakespeare in the Park.

Mel Gussow, in his New York Times review of 'On the Verge...' wrote, 'Blending Tom Stoppard's limber linguistics with the historic overview of a Thornton Wilder, Mr. Overmyer takes his audience on a mirthful safari that leads from darkest Africa to Terra Incognita, spinning into time travel.'
