The Public Theater announced a special 40th anniversary tribute to A CHORUS LINE on Thursday, April 16 in honor of the first performance of this legendary musical that premiered in The Public's Newman Theater 40 years ago and went on to make musical theater history.

Virginia's Signature Theatre presents Simply Sondheim, the world premiere special event celebrating Stephen Sondheim and Signature Theatre's special partnership over the last 25 years.

The Jungle Theater today announced the appointment of Sarah Rasmussen as Artistic Director, effective July 1, 2015. Rasmussen was chosen after a nationwide search to fill the role Jungle founder Bain Boehlke has held since 1991. Boehlke announced in July 2014 that he was stepping down in summer 2015.

The event is free and open to the community. With almost 60 percent of Jews who married from 2000 to 2013 choosing a partner from outside the faith, more and more families are struggling to navigate the challenges of interfaith relationships. Parents and grandparents worry that their children and grandchildren won't be Jewish. They want to learn how they can nurture an interfaith couple's engagement with Judaism and grandchildren's Jewish identity. Given her own interfaith journey, Larkin understands the concerns of Jewish parents and grandparents. She says, 'Interdating and intermarriage can make even the most open-minded Reform Jewish parents and grandparents anxious. It's one thing to welcome intermarried couples into the general community, but it is another when the mixed-faith couple involves your own child or grandchild.' Theatre for a New Audience, Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director, will present as its fourth production of the season the New York premiere of Fiasco Theater's The Two Gentlemen of Verona by William Shakespeare, directed by Jessie Austrian and Ben Steinfeld, beginning previews at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place, on Friday, April 24, at 7:30pm for an opening on Thursday, April 30, at 7:00pm. The Two Gentlemen of Verona runs through May 24.

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present The Duchess of Malfi, by John Webster, on the Fullerton Stage Theatre at The Theatre School at DePaul University. The production, directed by Lavina Jadhwani, premieres on Friday, April 17, and runs through Sunday, April 26, 2015. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Paper Mill Playhouse has announced complete casting for the world-premiere musical Ever After, directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes, Nice Work If You Can Get It), featuring a book and lyrics by Marcy Heisler and music by Zina Goldrich.

Sony Pictures has acquired the rights to VERONA, a possible new take on the Shakespeare classic tragedy 'Romeo and Juliet.'

The final performance of Manhattan Youth Ballet's spring production, Stories that Dance: Shakespeare and his Legacy, was full of joy. Four story ballets were performed with the young dancers involved in the story telling, rather than just going through the movements.

Performances begin tonight, Friday, March 20 and run through Sunday, April 12. Press night is scheduled for Opening Night Friday, March 27. Appropriate for ages 17 +. As a concert production, there will be no live nudity, though documentary photographs of the original production will be projected.
