Today, June 8, GODSPELL will play a special added matinee performance at 3 p.m.

Those who closely follow Broadway Grosses have been keeping an eye on GODSPELL's numbers as of late and wondering what the future held for the musical, which was recently announced for a performance on Sunday night's Tonys. Lead producer Ken Davenport has shed some light on the show's health in a new blog entry noting that after a slew of recent promotions ranging from 'Pay Your Age' to the 'Cast of 2032' and a Fan Appreciation Day:

Yesterday, May 23, the company of Godspell celebrated their Academy Award-winning writer Stephen Schwartz in a one-night-only concert featuring songs from Schwartz's Pippin, Wicked, The Baker's Wife, The Magic Show, Working, My Son Pinocchio, Children of Eden, Rags, "Pocahontas", "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", "The Prince of Egypt", "Enchanted" and more. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that the revival of GODSPELL on Broadway, despite a lack of Tony nominations, will make an appearance on the 2012 broadcast to perform a selection from the musical. At this time, there is no official word or confirmation on who, or what the cast will be performing.

Hundreds of hopeful actors, ages 6 to 16, showed up at the Circle in the Square Theatre today, April 25, to audition for the Broadway musical GODSPELL. The audition panel, including director Daniel Goldstein, is looking to fill 10 roles in the show. About 300 kids, including Holly Block, Gaten Matarazzo and Ellis Gage, who are featured in the video below, performed 16 measures of music for the panel.
