Producer Global Creatures have today released an 8-track preview of the score of KING KONG which features the work of some of the world's best contemporary artists, including 3D from Massive Attack, Sarah McLachlan, Justice, Guy Garvey from Elbow and The Avalanches. Closing out the 2012-2013 season at PlayMakers Repertory Company is the world premeire of Spring Training, a commissioned work by UNIVERSES, as a part of their prc2 line-up. UNIVERSES is a group of performers who create original work using a blend of performance styles, including vocal percussion, spoken poetry, music, and prose (and much more) to create dynamic new theater. The world premiere of Ryan Landry's "M", legendary Boston artist Ryan Landry's inspired take on Fritz Lang's film noir masterpiece M, begins at the Huntington Theatre Company on March 29. Known for his blending of classic source material with his unique brands of comedy and imaginative theatricality, Landry (Mildred Fierce) transforms the iconic film about a city panicked by an elusive child killer into a surreal, screwball take that is both hilarious and heart-stirring. Directed by Caitlin Lowans (Turn of the Screw at Stoneham Theatre), the production's ensemble cast includes Gold Dust Orphans' regulars Larry Coen and David Drake, as well as Boston favorite Karen MacDonald (Good People and All My Sons at the Huntington) in the title role that made film actor Peter Lorre famous.

PoemWorks, The Workshop for Publishing Poets (http://www.poemworks.com) celebrates the publication of 125 books of poetry by its members, and 30 years of service to the greater Boston arts and cultural community. The Workshop, founded in 1983 by poet and professor Barbara Helfgott Hyett, has grown from a dining-room venture into a full-fledged arts institution with its own reading series, summer workshops abroad and the publication of its members' work in hundreds of national journals, magazines and anthologies.
