Over 100 Hollywood stars were “funny for money” last night in NBC's inaugural event for charity, 'Red Nose Day,' helping to raise over $21 million to help lift children and young people out of poverty in the U.S.

NBC and the “Red Nose Day” organization have selected 12 poverty-fighting charities that will benefit from this extraordinary television event.

Seth Meyers, David Duchovny and Jane Krakowski will host 'Red Nose Day,' NBC's star-studded charity event airing Thursday, May 21 (8-11 p.m. ET). And Ed Sheeran, Josh Groban, Christian Slater, Al Roker, Andy Cohen, Kellan Lutz and Kermit the Frog are joining the “fun-raising” special to help lift children out of poverty in the U.S. and in some of the poorest communities in the world. 

Multifaceted entertainer Nick Cannon will kick off the festivities for NBC's broadcast of 'Red Nose Day' with 'Red Nose Day Danceathon with Nick Cannon,' streaming live on NBC.com beginning today, May 20.
