DEAD DOG IN A SUITCASE to Play HOME

This autumn, Cornwall-based international touring company Kneehigh, with Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, begin a new tour of Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs), their critically acclaimed radical reworking of John Gay's The Beggar's Opera, written by Carl Grose, with a brand new score of live musicby Charles Hazlewood, and directed by Artistic Director Mike Shepherd.

The Kitchen Presents AND THAT'S HOW THE RENT GETS PAID This Week

For the first time in two decades, The Kitchen will present a new edition of the acclaimed performance series And That's How the Rent Gets Paid, written by downtown legends Jeff Weiss and Richard C. Martinez. For three nights only (tonight, July 14, through July 16), Weiss and Martinez's thrilling serial drama, which follows a charming serial killer through the queer underbelly of New York City, will be brought to life by director and producer Brooke O'Harra with Kate Valk and Nicky Paraiso. The three-day marathon performance features an eclectic group of 50 performers including David Cale, Jennifer Miller, Keith McDermott, Becca Blackwell, Jess Barbagallo, Moe Angelos and Mark Bennett, among others. Weiss will appear in the production, in various cameo performances, throughout the three-day run.

IFC Continues 3-Day Miniseries Event THE SPOILS BEFORE DYING Tonight

IFC presents The Spoils Before Dying, premiering in its full cinematic glory as a three-night comedy miniseries event, airing last night, July 8, tonight, July 9 and tomorrow, July 10. Two half-hour episodes of the six part miniseries will air each evening starting at 9:00pm ET/PT on IFC.

TUTS 2015 Summer Season to Include OLIVER! & HAIRPSRAY

Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) celebrates 75 years of song-and-dance filled summer nights with Oliver! The Musical and Hairspray - The Broadway Musical, running July 10 - August 22, 2015 at Stanley Park's picturesque Malkin Bowl. On alternating evenings, audiences will be transported to brisk, fog-strewn 1840s London or jaunty, sweltering 1960s Baltimore, as the cheery, boisterous casts dirty their clothes and tease their beehives for a full summer of open-air theatre.

Players Theatre Short Play & Musical Festival Sets Fifth Season

There is no place like New York!  With a city this rich in culture, scandal and diversity, the possibilities for theatrical reenactment are endless.  The Players Theatre Short Play and Musical Festival encourage playwrights to mine this precious resource by offering an annual NYC - themed festival each June.  Celebrating its 5th year, "Only in New York" opens Thursday, June 4 and runs for three weeks.  Each week five original short plays, by five separate playwrights will be presented and a "Best of the Week" production will be selected by  audience vote.

Sprung from different parts of New Jersey's underbelly, these unique storytellers with serious potty mouths recently discovered each other's talents--and are now proud members of a mutual admiration society.
