?American Players Theatre (APT) announces its 36th Summer Season, June 6 to October 18, 2015, a diverse lineup of eight classical and contemporary plays in repertory that includes the work of two visiting Chicago directors: Derrick Sanders, founding artistic director of Congo Square Theatre Company, makes his APT debut directing The Island by Athol Fugard, John Kani and Winston Ntshona in APT's intimate 200-seat Touchstone Theatre; and Jeff Award winner William Brown returns to direct Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire in APT's flagship 1148-seat outdoor amphitheater Up the Hill.
Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, will present its popular First Look Festival, a series of one-night only staged readings, this year focusing on the remarkable work of playwright Caryl Churchill, whose plays have provoked, captivated and astounded audiences since she burst onto the scene in the late 1960s.

MFA Thesis productions for the Theatre Program at Columbia University School of the Arts are moving to new off-campus venues this year, positioning them in the heart of the Off-Broadway world.
Columbia University School of the Arts has announced the 2012-2013 Columbia Stages season of actors', directors' and playwrights' thesis productions at the Riverside Theatre, 3LD, the Connelly Theatre, and The Pershing Square Signature Center. Columbia Stages has expanded its season to a variety of venues throughout the City in order to provide third-year students with high-quality presentation spaces that meet the needs of their individual vision. The first production of the season will be Antigone/Progeny directed by Greg Taubman '13.

Reading Series and the presentation of Lindsay Joy-Murphy's Rise, Fall, directed by Padraic Lillis and continues October 20th with Lawrence Dial's Carroll Gardens, directed by Tyne Rafaeli, from this series the company will choose LabRats' full production, which will be presented February 28th-March 17th at The Access Theatre Gallery Space in Lower Manhattan. The season concludes May 25th, with Experiment Sessions, a free day of works in progress.
