Demi Lovato to Host MTV's NYE IN NYC 2012, 12/31

MTV today announced that it will close out 2012 by giving viewers an explosive night of musical performances by host Demi Lovato, along with Selena Gomez, J Cole, Jason Derulo and Mac Miller at its annual New Year's Eve party airing LIVE on Saturday, December 31st at 11:00pm ET (tape delayed PT).

Dance Crew I.a.M.m.E. to Join Line Up on MTV's NYE IN NYC 2012, 12/31

MTV has announced that the 'NYE in NYC' musical extravaganza has just gotten even hotter with the addition of dance crew I.a.M.m.E. to the performance line-up. The 'Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew' Season Six winners will have music fans on their feet during the festivities, with electrifying performances set to the sounds that kept music fans moving all year.

PUNK'D to Return to MTV

MTV's groundbreaking hit series 'Punk'd' is back, and viewers will be treated to an exclusive first look at footage from an all-new season of the series, which will return to the network in 2012, during its annual New Year's Eve party airing LIVE on Saturday, December 31 at 11:00 p.m. ET.

The ladies ruled the kingdom at the '2011 MTV Video Music Awards,' broadcast live this evening from Nokia Theater L.A. Live, as Katy Perry and Adele each took home three VMA Moonmen and Lady Gaga two. Katy Perry won the biggest prize of the night, 'Video of the Year,' with her pop anthem, 'Fireworks,' as well as honors for 'Best Collaboration' and 'Best Special Effects' for 'E.T.' featuring Kanye West. Adding to her reign atop the album charts, Adele won VMAs for 'Best Art Direction,' 'Best Cinematography,' and 'Best Editing.' Genre and gender-defying Lady Gaga kicked off the night as her alter ego Joe Calderone with a show-stopping performance of 'You and I,' and later walked away with two VMAs for 'Best Female' and this year's new category, 'Best Video with a Message.'

Daniel Radcliffe Snags Another Teen Choice Nomination

TEEN CHOICE 2011 will celebrate the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion in the choicest, star-studded two-hour event airing live Sunday, Aug. 7 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX, and the second wave of nominations has just been announced. Daniel Radcliffe, who is currently starring in the Broadway production of HOW TO SUCCEED, snagged yet another nomination for 'Choice Summer Movie Star.' MTV announced today the pick-up of a second season of its critically acclaimed hit series 'Teen Wolf.' The sophomore season of MTV's young, sexy reinvention of the classic werewolf tale will return with 12 all new one-hour episodes in 2012.

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), a new offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, today announced the winners of the Critics' Choice Television Awards, hosted by Cat Deeley and scheduled to take place at a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 20, 2011.

MTV To Reinvent TEEN WOLF, Greenlights SKINS

Filled with suspense, horror and the struggle to discover one's true identity, MTV puts a modern spin on one of the most popular classic films of the eighties, MGM's 'Teen Wolf'. The reinvention comes alive as a sexy thriller set against the drama of high school life with a forbidden, romantic love story at its core. Additionally, MTV steers a fearless path with the greenlight of the North American adaptation of the U.K. drama series 'Skins'. Both series greenlights were announced today by MTV President of Programming, Tony DiSanto. From the creator of 'Criminal Minds,' Jeff Davis, and the executive producers of 'The 4400,' Rene Echevarria and 'Prison Break,' Marty Adelstein, 'Teen Wolf' will commence production this summer with 12 one-hour episodes. 'Skins' will also begin production this summer with 10 one-hour episodes.
