On Wednesday June 11, 2008 the Theatre World Awards for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut performances during the 2007-2008 theatrical season took place. The awards were presented by former Theatre World Award winners, including: Alec Baldwin (Loot, 1986), Griffin Dunne (Search and Destroy, 1992), Alexander Gemignani (Assassins, 2004), Andrea Martin (My Favorite Year, 1993), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, 2007), Rosie Perez (References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, 2001), and B.D. Wong (M. Butterfly, 1988). On Saturday, June 7, ABC's 'Wonderful World of Disney' presents a special broadcast of Disney Pixar's FINDING NEMO, the Academy Award-winning film (Best Animated Feature, 2003). During the broadcast, Mark Indelicato of the hit ABC television series 'UGLY BETTY' goes back stage at Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID with star Sierra Boggess to discuss her iconic role as Ariel, in the beloved new Broadway musical.

John Treacy Egan, currently starring as Chef Louis in Disney's 'The Little Mermaid', will perform at Barnes & Noble as part of their 'Any Wednesday' series on Wednesday, May 28th at 6pm.

Adrian Bailey, an ensemble member in the cast of The Little Mermaid on Broadway, was injured after a fall through a trap door prior to the start of this past Saturday's matinee. The New York Times reported this morning that the actor has asked for a court order to preserve a prop in the show in preparation for a potential lawsuit.
