Fleisher, Jue, LaVoy Join Houdyshell In CORALINE 5/7-6/20

The complete cast for MCC Theater's CORALINE has been announced. Jayne Houdyshell will play the title role with Julian Fleisher as Cat, Francis Jue as Father and Miss Forcible, January LaVoy as Mother and Miss Spink, Elliot Villar as Mr. Bobo and William Youmans as Other Father with Houdyshell and librettist Greenspan as Other Mother.

Jane Fonda in 33 Variations Opens Tonight

Jane Fonda heads a cast of eight in 33 VARIATIONS, a new American play written and directed by Mois?s Kaufman, about Katherine Brandt (Jane Fonda) trying to solve a centuries-old mystery about the world's greatest composer. Katherine's obsession takes her from present-day New York to 19th century Austria. As the music that consumes Katherine comes to life on stage, she races against time to find common ground with her daughter and to embrace the legacy of her own life.

Performances begin Friday, April 11th as a visiting production at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater (224 Waverly Place), with Opening Night set for Saturday evening, April 18th at 8 p.m.

The Norman Conquests Tickets Go on Sale This Sunday

Tickets go on sale on Sunday, February 22 for The Old Vic's critically acclaimed production of THE NORMAN CONQUESTS, a comedy trilogy of plays by Alan Ayckbourn, directed by Matthew Warchus. The production begins performances on Tuesday, April 7 and opens Thursday, April 23 at Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street). NAC Announces Kesselring Fellowship Recipients

The National Arts Club announced the recipients of its Kesselring Fellowship (formerly the Kesselring Award) supporting the work of extraordinary playwrights who have yet to achieve national recognition. An industry panel of writers, literary managers, actors, producers and directors and critics evaluated twenty-five finalists. In a rare move based on extraordinary merit, the 2009 panel and the National Arts Club choose to give out two lead awards rather than one. These two playwrights, Rajiv Joseph (Bengal Tiger at the Baghad Zoo, upcoming at the Mark Taper Forum) and David Adjmi (Stunning, upcoming at Lincoln Center 3) were awarded Kesselring Fellowships. Playwrights Jenny Schwartz and Tarrel Alvin McCraney were also named as Kesselring Honorees

Alan Ayckbourn's comic trilogy of plays, THE NORMAN CONQUESTS, will come to Broadway directly following its sold out critically acclaimed run in London. The production, the latest success for The Old Vic Theatre Company under the artistic leadership of Kevin Spacey, will play for 16 weeks only. 13, a new musical with music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown will play its final performance on Sunday, January 4, 2009 after 22 preview and 105 regular performances at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 W. 45th Street). The first Broadway show to star an all teenage cast and band began previews on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 and opened on Sunday, October 5, 2008.
