The Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDSBoard of Trustees, at its February 22, 2018, meeting, honored Paul Libin, its president for the last 24 years, with a special $100,000 grant to The Actors Fund to create the Paul Libin Center. The center will be the New York City home for Looking Ahead, a program that helps professional young performers build community and make a healthy, successful transition to adulthood.

Previews begin tomorrow, Tuesday, February 27, 2018, for Edward Albee's Three Tall Women. Three Tall Women stars two-time Academy Award-winner Glenda Jackson, Tony Award winner, three-time Emmy Award winner, and 2018 Academy Award nominee Laurie Metcalf, and Tony Award nominee Alison Pill. This production is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello and produced by Scott Rudin. Three Tall Women will have an official opening night on Thursday, March 29 at the Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street).

UC Irvine's Claire Trevor School of the Arts Department of Drama continues its 2017 - 18 season "The Business of Politics/The Politics of Business" with Professor Juliette Carrillo's original work Plumas Negras. Carrillo began this project while working with Cornerstone Theater Company in the East Salinas community back in 2013; she interviewed countless farmworkers, and as she heard story after compelling story, a narrative began to emerge. The play's narrative follows the lives of three generations of female workers, the struggles that tear their families apart, and the love that binds them together. Also partially narrating the action are two wise crows, as magical realism weaves throughout a script that is rich with serious explorations of workers' rights, gender inequity, and the perceptions and treatment of the immigrant population.
