Here are some of the familiar Broadway faces appearing in prime time tonight (Monday, April 1, 2013)!

According to the New York Times, Broadway veteran and Green Day member Billie Joe Armstrong is set to write songs for 'These Paper Bullets' at Yale Repertory Theater. The show, which is a rock version of 'Much Ado About Nothing,' will premiere in March 2014. The show will be directed by Jackson Gay, and will be about 'a band from Liverpool dealing with romance and the music industry in London.'

Celebrity guests recently mentored children from the Garden of Dreams Foundation in rehearsals for the upcoming Talent Show performance at Radio City Music Hall on April 16. R&B pop phenomenon Mindless Behavior, Miss USA Nana Meriwether, model Damaris Lewis, hip hop pioneer and talent show creative director Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels, Broadway star Tony Vincent (American Idiot, NBC's 'The Voice'), The Rockettes and Knicks City Dancers watched and listen as the kids rehearsed their singing, dancing, and/or hip hop acts. Happy Birthday, Billie Joe Armstrong! Best known as the lead vocalist, main songwriter and lead guitarist for the American punk rock band Green Day, Armstrong recently brought one of his most popular albums to Broadway- American Idiot. In 2010, Armstrong joined the cast of American Idiot, which won two Tonys, for one week in the role of St. Jimmy. He replaced the original Broadway cast member Tony Vincent in fall of 2010 and returned to the role for 50 performances in January 2011.

Each year hundreds of students received valuable musical theatre training through BDF programs offered in partnership with Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Philadelphia's Broadway dreams came true for the fourth consecutive summer when The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partnered with The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts to present their Summer Performing Arts Intensive, July 30 through August 5, 2012. Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award-winner for Parade, and a faculty of Broadway professionals taught master classes during the week to aspiring Philadelphia area students interested in pursuing a career in musical theatre.
