A distinguished list of entertainers will join in honoring Tony Award® and Emmy Award® winning actor Billy Crystal, Class of 1970, at the Tisch School of Arts' annual gala, The Face of Tisch. Those scheduled to participate include Christina Bianco '03, The Bob Cantwell New Orleans Jazz Band, Seán Curran '84, James Franco '11, Whoopi Goldberg, Marcia Gay Harden '88, Isaiah Johnson '10, Jesse L. Martin '91, Krysta Rodriguez '06, Paul Shaffer, Noah Weisberg '98, and Robin Williams. The event will be held on Monday, December 6th at the renowned Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center.

BWW Interviews: Michael Urie Talks AMADEUS & ANGELS

Michael Urie, best known for his charming portrayal of Marc St. James on ABC's 'Ugly Betty,' will star as Mozart in Amadeus at the Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh, North Carolina. The show, which will play this weekend only, marks the first-ever collaboration between the North Carolina Symphony and PlayMakers Repertory Company. In 2009, Urie received a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Actor when he originated the role of Rudi Gernreich in the off-Broadway play, The Temperamentals. And, beginning in February 2011, he will be taking on the role of Prior Walter in the first New York City revival of Tony Kushner's Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes.

Classic Stage Company (CSC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Jessica R. Jenen announced today that acclaimed actresses Marin Ireland (Tony nominee for reasons to be pretty) and Juliet Rylance (Obie winner for The Bridge Project's As You Like It) have joined the cast of the company's highly-anticipated upcoming production of Anton Chekhov's THREE SISTERS. Ireland will play Natasha and Rylance Irina, joining 2010 Academy Award nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal (Masha), Josh Hamilton (Andrey), 2010 Tony Award nominee Jessica Hecht (Olga) and acclaimed film and stage actor Peter Sarsgaard (Vershinin). Also featured in the cast are Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Tuezenbach), Glenn Fitzgerald (Solyony), Roberta Maxwell (Anfisa), Louis Zorich (Chebutykin), George Morfogen (Ferapont), Paul Lazar (Kulygin), Gabe Bettio (Rohde) and James Patrick Nelson (Fedotik).

Signature Theatre Company's production of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, began performances Tuesday, September 14. The first New York revival of Kushner's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play is directed by Michael Greif. The production, originally slated to run through December 19, has been extended a second time through February 20, 2011. Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin) is pleased to announce a third extension for the first New York revival of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, directed by Michael Greif.
