ORLANDO, Fla.

Empire Travel Agency (ETA) is a show comprised of performance events ('trips') presented at multiple locations across the city. Featuring a cast of over 20 of New York's brightest performers and musicians, it's designed to allow New Yorkers to experience the city anew by re-imagining diverse pieces of architecture as settings for a series of unexpected happenings. From the Bethesda fountain to the L train, from the Bowery to your bathroom, ETA allows you to travel out of the mundane and into the inspired.

As the culmination of its annual Project Playwright Festival, Sanguine Theatre Company presents Flamingo by Alex Trow at IRT Theater (154 Christopher Street) in downtown Manhattan. Jillian Robertson, Artistic Director of Sanguine, will direct the world premiere.

A Jewish, Midwestern, Chekhovian comic drama for the 21st century will be the third offering in The Echo Theater Company's 2015 seaason at Atwater Village Theatre, the company's new permanent home. Jennifer Chambers directs the world premiere of Better, a gentle examination of family and mortality by Jessica Goldberg, opening Oct. 4.

The Flea Theater will present the World Premiere of Kim Davies' SMOKE, directed by Flea Resident Director Tom Costello (The Wundelsteipen) and featuring members of The Bats, the resident acting company at The Flea. Previews begin tonight, August 22 with opening slated for September 7. Says Producing Director Carol Ostrow, 'where 50 Shades of Grey dances on the surface of BDSM, Smoke cuts to the core.

Playwrights Horizons has announced initial casting for its upcoming 2014/2015 Season.
