At Sunday's Television Critics Association's summer press tour, Jennifer Grey revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she turned down an offer to appear in ABC's upcoming remake of the 1980's classic DIRTY DANCING.

Public Theater Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Executive Director Patrick Willingham announced the line-up today for The Public's 2016-17 season.

Just weeks ago he was preparing to make his Broadway return in NERDS. Now he is starring in the most popular show on Broadway. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Tony Award-nominee Rory O'Malley recently began his reign as King George in the Broadway musical Hamilton at the Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 W. 46 St). While most of music's biggest night was being celebrated in LA, for the first time in history, Broadway was also gearing up to truly be a part of the festivities last night. You were likely witness to it- about ninety minutes into the 58th annual Grammy Awards, the company of Broadway's biggest hit, Hamilton, performed live from their New York City stage (the first ever live performance from a Broadway theatre to be broadcast on the Grammys), finally giving the rest of the world a taste of what the fuss is all about. The company was electric; the performance was flawless; and I was there.

Following a performance of HAMILTON's opening number 'Alexander Hamilton' telecast live via satellite from the Richard Rodgers theater, presenter Seth MacFarland announced that Broadway's hip hop musical was the winner of the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.
