The July installment of New York Theatre Barn's New Works Series features selections from new musicals written by Andy Monroe (The Kid) and Amanda Yesnowitz (the Broadway bound Somehwere in Time), on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 7:30pm at the Daryl Roth Theatre's D-Lounge. The monthly New Works Series, now in its 7th year at the Daryl Roth Theatre, is the core of New York Theatre Barn's new work development process for emerging writers and new musicals.

Artistic Directors Bick Goss & Frank Evans and Board President Stephen Hanks present the new musical: "DRIVE" with book, music and Lyrics by Andy Monroe, Outer Critics Circle Award Winner for 'THE KID.' Monroe's previous musicals for Musical Mondays include "THE LIFE AND TIMES OF JOHN JEFFERSON JOE BLOW" seen at the Greenwich Street Theatre and "THE TRAGIC AND HORRIBLE LIFE OF THE SINGING NUN" subsequently produced by the New York Musical Theater Festival. Composer/lyricist Neil Bartram and book writer Brian Hill, Drama Desk Nominated authors of Broadway's The Story of My Life, will workshop their newest musical Something Wicked This Way Comes, adapted from the novel by Ray Bradbury, with the Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre at the University of Oklahoma in October 2012.
