Casting has been announced for The Laguna Playhouse's production of Noël Coward's celebrated comedy, Private Lives that runs March 15 - April 10, 2011. Directed by Andrew Barnicle, the cast for Private Lives features Julie Granata as Amanda, Joseph Fuqua as Elyot, Winslow Corbett as Sybil, and Matthew Floyd Miller as Victor.

Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing, directed by Brooke Ciardelli, runs live on stage at the Briggs Opera House in White River Junction from February 16 - March 6, 2011. Performances are Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 5:00 p.m., except for the Opening Night performance on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7:00 p.m., with a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Thursday, Feb. 24.

According to Deadline.com, two time Tony winner Jennifer Ehle is set to join Patrick Wilson in a still untitled CBS pilot. The series is the brainchild of Susannah Grant, who is perhaps best known for her Oscar-nominated screenplay for the 2001 film Erin Brokovich. Deadline.com reports that Wilson will play a very competitive surgeon whose live is altered when his ex-wife dies.

The Susan Smith Blackburn Prize has announced Katori Hall as the winner of its prestigious playwriting award, now celebrating its thirty-third year. The Houston-based Prize received the 2010 Theatre Communications Group's National Funder Award. The annual honor goes to a company, foundation or other entity for 'leadership and sustained national support of theater in America.

Feasting on the banquet that is the musical, magical prose of Tom Stoppard, the cast of Blackbird Theater Company's Arcadia delivers a pitch-perfect rendering of his intellectually stimulating play, under the fine direction of Ted Swindley. Certain to provoke thought and elicit a variety of responses, Arcadia is intricately crafted and imaginatively plotted, staged elegantly and confidently by the relatively new theater company in just its second production at David Lipscomb University's Shamblin Theatre.
