THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER, adapted for the stage by Laura Eason, based on the novel by Mark Twain, will play the Denver Center Theatre Company's Space Theatre November 11 - December 18 (opening night Thursday, November 17.)

First Stage continues its 25th season with DON'T LET THE PIGEON DRIVE THE BUS! based on the wildly popular children's book series by Mo Willems, January 14 through February 5, 2012 at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 W. Walnut Street in downtown Milwaukee.

In Spring 2011 Suzanne Reading, Ph.D., Director of the Communication Sciences and Disorders Program at Butler University, and James M. Reading, Ph.D. of CARE conducted a study to analyze how theatre affects the social skills of students with autism.

THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER by Mark Twain and adapted for the stage by Laura Eason is currently delighting audiences at the Denver Center until December 18th. This classic follows Tom Sawyer and his parter in crime Huckleberry Finn as they live out their childhood adventures together.

Laura Eason's recent adaptation of Mark Twain's immortal THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER is an invigorating and captivating work, full of enthusiastic performances and thrilling action. I've seen several different takes on this book, and this is probably the most fun and smartly conceived of them all. The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis is currently presenting a production of Eason's play, and it's another top notch production in a season full of terrific choices.

Denver Center Theatre Company is set to present one of Colorado's most sought-after holiday productions, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, by Charles Dickens, adapted by Richard Hellesen, playing the Stage Theater November 25-December 24.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) presents The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Laura Eason, adapted from the novel by Mark Twain. Jeffrey Richards and Jerry Frankel have just announced the design team for the upcoming Broadway revival of Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN. Tony and Drama Desk Award winning scenic designer DEREK McLANE (33 Variations, Anything Goes), Tony and Drama Desk Award winning lighting designer KENNETH POSNER (The Coast of Utopia, Part 2 - Shipwreck) and five-time Tony Award nominated costume designer ANN ROTH (The Book of Mormon) will design the play about power, ambition, political secrets, ruthlessness and the race for the presidency.
