Former 'Saturday Night Live' and Comedy Central star Colin Quinn opened his one-man show Colin Quinn Long Story Short, directed by Jerry Seinfeld, at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre for an 11-week limited engagement. Second Stage Theatre will present the New York premiere of Rajiv Joseph's (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo) Gruesome Playground Injuries featuring Pablo Schreiber and Jennifer Carpenter in 2011, the New York Times reveals today. Scott Ellis will direct. Preview will begin on January 5, 2011, with an opening night scheduled for January 31, 2011.

At 7pm on November 7, Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer, Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) will kick off White Plains Performing Arts Center's Conversations @ 7 series. The Conversations series is structured as an intimate open forum, where the participating audience and guest artists share an evening discussing craft and life in the theatre. The spectrum of participating guests will range in their roles in theatre from creative to production to performing with the consistent factor of their level of achievement and a rare chance for audience to interact with these masters of theatre.

Alice Ripley, who received the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Next to Normal, will reprise her acclaimed performance in the musical's 36-week multi-city North American tour, launching November 23 with a six-week engagement at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Following the premiere, the tour has confirmed engagements in Denver, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Des Moines, Providence, Hartford, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Chicago, St. Paul, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Washington, DC, and Toronto.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine, and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, continues its Fall 2010 season with the debut engagement of Broadway star and three-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara last night, October 19. In her new show, which runs through October 30, Ms. O'Hara takes a journey beyond the ingénue by mixing songs by newer songwriters like Tom Kitt and Ricky Ian Gordon with classics by Frank Loesser ('Somebody, Somewhere') Irving Berlin ('Always'). All performances, which feature a quartet led by Music Director Dan Lipton, will be at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).
