The team behind the world premiere of Bring It On: The Musical is an extraordinarily rare union of some of Broadway's most acclaimed, award-winning, young creators. With an original book by Tony Award® winner Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), music and lyrics by Tony Award®-winning composerLin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), music by Pulitzer and Tony Award®-winning composer Tom Kitt (next to normal) and lyrics by Broadway lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity), the production is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Andy Blankenbuehler (In the Heights). Last night, the fans of AMERICAN IDIOT were treated to a special surprise when Green Day band member Mike Dirnt joined Billie Joe and the IDIOT crew onstage for the show's encore performance of 'Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).' Check out his cameo below.

The Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical NEXT TO NORMAL is coming the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines as part of the Willis Broadway Series Tuesday, March 15 to Sunday, March 20, 2011.

The producers of the critically acclaimed AMERICAN IDIOT announced today that OSCAR and GRAMMY Award winning rock star Melissa Etheridge will play the role of 'St. Jimmy' for a one-week engagement, February 1 - 6, 2011. Ms. Etheridge is one of the most iconic recording artists in the music industry. For the rest of the month, Green Day frontman and the musical's composer and co-author Billie Joe Armstrong will return to the role of 'St. Jimmy' and complete his 50 performance, limited engagement from February 10-27, 2011 at the St. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street.

Due to the unprecedented snow and ice in Atlanta, the dangerous road conditions caused by severe weather, and the closure of the Woodruff Arts Center since Monday, we are cancelling this Saturday evening's first preview performance of Bring It On: The Musical. Previews will now begin Sunday, January 16th with performances at 2:30pm and 7:30pm.
