On this day in 2013, Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks made his Broadway debut in Lucky Guy, written by Nora Ephron and directed by George C. Wolfe. 

Based on the smash-hit movie starring Tom Hanks, BIG The Musical makes its West End premiere at the Dominion Theatre for a strictly limited nine-week season from 6 September to 2 November 2019, with a Gala Night in aid of Make-A-Wish on Tuesday 17 September.

Tom Hanks is in talks to play Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis Presley's manager, in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming Elvis biopic, according to Variety.

Comedian, actor, and writer Patton Oswalt continues to find success in all areas of entertainment from his award-winning comedy specials to his many memorable film roles and TV guest appearances, including "Parks and Recreation" for which he received a TV Critics Choice Award.

David F. Sandberg ('Annabelle: Creation') directs New Line Cinema's 'Shazam!,' the origin story that stars Zachary Levi (TV's 'Chuck') as the titular DC Super Hero, along with Asher Angel (TV's 'Andi Mack') as Billy Batson, and Mark Strong (the 'Kingsman' movies) in the role of Super-Villain Dr. Thaddeus Sivana. Union County Performing Arts Center's Classic Film Series continues with three classic films presented on 35mm film. All film screenings include free popcorn along with an organ pre-show on the theater's historic 'Biggest Little Wurlitzer' organ beginning at 7:15pm for 8:00pm shows and 4pm for the matinee.

Winner of five Tony Awards and Seven Olivier Awards, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time will run at Village Theatre beginning this March. The production, directed by Village Theatre artistic director Jerry Dixon, will be his first directing credit since becoming the organization's artistic leader in June of 2018. Village Theatre's production features an all-new score by Curtis Moore (Broadway: Lucky Guy with Tom Hanks), as well as choreography by Sonia Dawkins (Prism Dance Theatre).
