Following his stint on Fox's long-running musical dramedy, Jackson has signed on for Murphy's new HBO series OPEN, according to Deadline. Murphy reportedly wrote the series regular role into the script specifically for Jackson.

According to The Wrap, Broadway vet Cheyenne Jackson has joined the cast of a pilot for Lifetime titled 'HR.' The actor joins previously announced cast members Greg Germann, Will Kemp, Kellee Stewar, Maulik Pancholy, Peter Fonda and Cara Mantella.

Fox Searchlight has released the first trailer for, inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle. Directed by BAFTA Award winner Amma Asante and written by Misan Sagay, Belle features Gugu Mbatha-Raw in her first starring role along with Tom Wilkinson, Emily Watson, Sarah Gadon, Penelope Wilton, Miranda Richardson, Tom Felton and Matthew Goode. TNT has greenlit Murder in the First, a new scripted drama from Emmy(R)-winner Steven Bochco and starring Taye Diggs (Private Practice) and Kathleen Robertson (Boss). Co-created by Bochco and Eric Lodal (The Locrian Mode), Murder in the First also stars Tom Felton (Harry Potter), Mimi Kirkland (Safe Haven), Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon a Time), Ian Anthony Dale (Hawaii Five-0), Bess Rous (What Just Happened) and Steven Weber (Dallas, Wings).

According to Birdland's website, Broadway veteran Cheyenne Jackson will be making his debut at the venue with his brand new show, featuring songs from his new album, 'I'm Blue Skies', as well as classics from his acclaimed one-man show 'Music of the Mad Men Era,' which sold out at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Jackson will be working with long-time musical director Ben Toth at Birdland on December 1 & 2, 2013 at 6 PM and 9:15 PM, respectively.
