Official: IN THE HEIGHTS to Transfer to King's Cross Theatre

Tony Award-winning Broadway musical In The Heights will return to London this year following a critically acclaimed sell-out UK premiere at Southwark Playhouse in 2014. The production will transfer to King's Cross Theatre on 3rd October 2015 and is booking for a strictly limited four week period until 1st November 2015. Tickets go on sale at 10.00am on Friday 10th July 2015.

The full list of winners are announced today in the inaugural Also Recognised Awards, the new audience-voted, industry accolade set up by theatre commentators Mark Shenton and Terri Paddock to celebrate lesser-known but equally worthy talent in fields overlooked by other awards bodies. National Youth Music Theatre will present an exciting season of work for summer 2014, including a new commission to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War. The company of over 150 actors, musicians, creative and backstage teams aged between 11 and 23 will stage The Ragged Child at the Rose Theatre, Kingston (23 - 27 July), The Hired Man at the St. James Theatre, London (13 - 16 August) and Brass at the City Varieties Music Hall, Leeds (20 - 23 August).

The Arts Educational Schools London, part of the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, last night staged EVITA, in the presence of Andrew Lloyd Webber himself, as part of the opening of their theatre. Webber is the school's most generous patron, funding the school's £3.5 million refurbishment and is president of the school.
