The producers of ANNIE announced this evening that the show will play its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, January 5, 2014. Upon closing, the production, which opened on November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street), will have played 487 performances and 38 previews.

Joining Ellison for this engagement will be Ashley Blanchet (who made her original Broadway debut in Memphis and is currently on Broadway again in Annie), David Larson (most recently on Broadway in Hands on a Hard Body and Billy Elliott), Christopher Seiber (a Tony Award nominee and most recently on Broadway in Shrek, Spamalot and La Cage aux Folles), and Beth Leavel (Tony Award winner whose Broadway credits include The Drowsy Chaperone, 42nd Street and Crazy for You).

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Jenni Barber, who most recently starred in THE NANCE on Broadway will take on 'Grace Farrell' in ANNIE beginning August 20. Brynn O'Malley, who currently plays the role, will temporarily depart to star in HONEYMOON IN VEGAS at Paper Mill Playouse. She will return to the production on November 5.

Tony Award-winner Faith Prince will return to Broadway as evil orphanage matron Miss Hannigan in the new Broadway production of ANNIE at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets). She will begin performances tonight, July 19. Emmy Award-winning 'Glee' star Jane Lynch will play her final performance as Miss Hannigan on Sunday, July 14.

After more than 35,000 submissions, PEDIGREE was awarded the coveted Silver Lion in branded entertainment at the 2013 Cannes Festival for Creativity for the documentary, 'ANNIE'S Search for Sandy.' The 2013 Cannes Lions received submissions from creative agencies and advertisers representing more than 90 countries around the world. 'ANNIE'S Search for Sandy,'hosted by Al Roker, was produced by Al Roker Entertainment and ANNIE The Musical LLC and was sponsored by PEDIGREE Food for Dogs.

When ANNIE first opened on Broadway in 1977, it was filled with sage advice that the city needed to hear. New York City was teetering on the edge of perilous bankruptcy, but this plucky little orphan girl reminded audiences that there would always be a tomorrow worth waiting for. The 2012 revival of ANNIE opened in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, and as the nation braced itself for the possibility of another Great Depression like the one the spirited orphan smiles through with her beloved and well-known anthems, the themes of remaining cheerful and overcoming adversity struck a chord with audiences again. Bringing artists from all over the world, and from most every genre, the Harris Center for the Arts at Folsom Lake College - formerly known as Three Stages at Folsom Lake College - will offer literally hundreds of performances in 2013-14. Beginning in late July, 2013 and extending into spring 2014, the new season includes world-class performers like Kenny Loggins, Seinfeld's Jason Alexander, and Savion Glover; Broadway productions such as Peter and the Starcatcher, The Addams Family and Bring It On: The Musical (all of which are appearing in the capital region for the first time ever); and an unprecedented season of dance in Folsom which kicks off with Alonzo King LINES Ballet and also features Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Bellydance Superstars, Ballroom with a Twist, and return visits of the popular Moscow Festival Ballet's Swan Lake and Diavolo Dance Theatre; and many more, all on the stages at the Harris Center.

Shout! Broadway will release the new 2012 Cast Recording for ANNIE CD on Tuesday, June 18. To celebrate the release of the CD cast members Jane Lynch, Anthony Warlow, Lilla Crawford, Brynn O'Malley, Clarke Thorell, creators Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin and Tom Meehan and more will sign copies of the album at Barnes & Noble (160 East 54th Street at 3rd Avenue) beginning promptly at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 1:45 p.m.

Beginning June 28, ANNIE will play an additional matinee on Friday afternoons on Broadway at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway at 47th Street) - rather than an evening show on Wednesday, it was announced today.

ANNIE, nominated for a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, will launch a US National Tour in the 2014-2015 season. The national tour will be produced by Troika Entertainment. The new production of the classic Tony Award-winning musical, opened to critical acclaim on November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street).

Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch, who stars in the hit FOX television show "Glee" as ruthless cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester and who recently made her Broadway debut as tyrannical orphanage matron Miss Hannigan in ANNIE, will be a guest on NBC's "Today" tomorrow, Tuesday, June 4, in the 10:00 AM hour. Broadway has announced that the New 2012 Broadway Cast Recording for ANNIE is available for purchase at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets), beginning tonight, May 7. The merchandise stand is open to the public one hour prior to performance. Digital release will be on Tuesday, May 28. The recording will be released to national retail outlets on Tuesday, July 2.
