The critically acclaimed and multi award-winning new musical AN AMERICAN IN PARIS had its official London premiere tonight, Tuesday 21 March, at the beautifully restored Dominion Theatre. Christopher Wheeldon's stunning reinvention of the Oscar-winning film (that starred Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron) features the sublime music and lyrics of George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a new book by Craig Lucas. 

Last night (9 February 2016) was Carole King's birthday and at the Aldwych Theatre the Olivier, Tony and Grammy award-winningBeautiful - The Carole King Musical celebrated its second birthday in the West End. 

Peter James is synonymous when referring to crime fiction. Following the acclaim received by the stage adaptation of A Perfect Murder last year, Dead Simple is the next novel to receive the same treatment (adapted by Shaun McKenna). The book was an overnight sensation and is now a number one best-seller so it was clearly an obvious choice for the producers. Based on James' research, it seems that the vast majority of people fear fear itself. Breaking this down further, the fear of being alone and in this story's case, being buried alive. This is a seemingly universal fear that James experienced head on when writing this book!

DEAD Simple, the second stage adaptation of a Peter James novel, comes to The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, next month (July).

Following the nationwide success of The Perfect Murder this year, Dead Simple - Peter James' all-time best-selling novel will be the second claustrophobically thrilling stage adaptation in conjunction with producer Joshua Andrews (The Perfect Murder, A Streetcar Named Desire).

Following the critically acclaimed hit premiere stage production of Peter James' The Perfect Murder - which recently opened its autumn tour at the Canterbury Marlowe to further rave reviews - the best-selling work of the No.1 novelist will return to the stage in 2015 with the adaptation of his most famous and popular book to date Dead Simple. A host of famous faces including Tina Hobley, Jamie Lomas and Gray O' Brien are to bring the next claustrophobically thrilling instalment of Peter James' work to life on stage when the tour opens in Dartford in January.
