Skylight Theatre to Stage World Premiere of EL GRANDE CIRCUS DE COCA-COLA, 7/18-8/23

Skylight Theatre Company in association with Flying Cucumber Productions presents the World Premiere of El Grande CIRCUS de Coca-Cola, written by Ron House and directed by Alan Shearman. Based on El Grande de Coca-Cola by Ron House, Diz White, Alan Shearman and John Neville-Andrews, Opening at 8:30pm on Saturday, July 18, 2015 Runs at 8:30pm Fridays and Saturdays, 3pm Sundays through August 23, 2015 The Skylight Theatre complex is located at 1816 1/2 N. gangbusters theatre company to Stage SUNSHINE at Hollywood Fringe, 6/7-28

The gangbusters theatre company presents SUNSHINE, written by William Mastrosimone & directed by Corryn Cummins, produced by Dana Lyn Baron, and starring Mary Kelsey, Donnie Smith and Adam Garst. The show runs as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival, playing June 7-28, 2015.

The NiA Company's BR'ER RABBIT Hops Back on the Stage at Columbia Children's Theatre

After a well-received limited engagement run in October of 2013, Columbia Children's Theatre (CCT), is thrilled to welcome Columbia's NiA Company and their production of Br'er Rabbit back onto the Mainstage June 12-21. Show times are Friday June 12 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturdays (June 13 & 20) at 10:30 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.; and Sundays (June 14 & 21) at 3:00 p.m. 

Writers in the Loft Series to Welcome Rita Mae Brown, 6/25

The 7pm event includes an author presentation and moderated Q+A, plus book signing and meet-and-greet. This evening with Rita Mae Brown will be held at the Music Hall Loft at 131 Congress Street, in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Terrence Mann, Riley Costello Set for CRT's PETER PAN This Summer

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) has announced the complete cast for the musical Peter Pan, its second production of the 2015 Nutmeg Summer Series. Directed by Cassie Abate, Peter Pan will star Riley Costello in the title role. Costello was recently seen as Dunlap Dewberry in Because of Winn Dixie at Arkansas Repertory Theatre and as Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Costello's Broadway credits include Bye, Bye Birdie, 13: the musical, and Everyday Rapture. Performances of Peter Pan begin on June 18, 2015 and run through July 3, 2015 at Connecticut Repertory Theatre's Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre. Mine is Yours Theatre Company to Bring ROMEO AND JULIET to 2015 Hollywood Fringe

As part of the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival, Mine is Yours Theatre Company will remount their adventurous 90-minute production of R&J, a gender-reversed Romeo and Juliet, which had a successful preview run last November at Theatre of NOTE. While remaining faithful to Shakespeare's language, R&J transforms Romeo into Romea, Juliet into Julian, Friar Laurence into Sister Laurence, etc., in an extravaganza of gender-swapping that makes this classic love story resonate in an electrifying new way.

WHAT The Museum's celebration Spotlight Asia: Big Cats will be a family-friendly day of live theater, musical performances, and hands-on activities featuring big cats and their role in cultures throughout Asia.  Across Asia, big cats hold tremendous cultural significance. They represent a unique intersection between nature and culture, and between tradition and contemporary practice. The five members of the genus Panthera are the: tiger, lion, jaguar, leopard, and snow leopard.

Lauren Blumenfeld to Star in RICH GIRL at The Old Globe; Full Cast Announced!

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of an exciting new American play, Rich Girl, by acclaimed playwright Victoria Stewart, continuing the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration. Rich Girl will be directed by James Vasquez (Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show), and will play May 23 - June 21, 2015, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.
